Extrapolating the Texas-style social distancing number from that chart yields 115 million dead globally, but I scaled that sort of level back assuming development of some sort of at least quasi-effective treatment protocols. So, yeah, a 1.5%, or even just a 0.75%, death rate really starts to add up.
