Serious question, as thinking back to ASU microbiology, the mutation factor being that it's in so many worldwide hosts means that your only defense is to your local strain if you caught it and lived. Vaccines aren't a good solution to what we're seeing right now, as even the seasonal flu vaccine is limited to the top 3-4 strains that statistically are likely to hit a given population.
