House generator is on NG, but,....

......if I had to do it again(and I might), I'd put the generator on a separate propane tank. Not quite as efficient and more expensive to run, but more redundancy which in my mind is the whole purpose of a standby generator. And you don't need to shut down the house/heat during installation. I've got spare gens crated up in the shop and am seriously thinking about tying in a second on propane.
