There's a DARPA video on YouTube in which a Navy SEAL

is talking about how DARPA researches when operators should shave. As he explains, it is a highly technical and highly mission critical timing issue. If he shaves too soon, whisker stubble grows back, impairing his mask-to-face seal, and potentially killing him. If he shaves to late, the blade may open infection pathways through the skin without time to heal, potentially killing him. Along with beans and rice, one of the other things I stocked up on a month ago was disposable razors. At $0.15 apiece, a few bucks worth are good to have around. There are still plenty in the stores as other shoppers go straight to the toilet paper aisle.
