Yeah, but not all of them use real ice cream

I tended bar in the late 80s during college, little "Irish steakhouse" type place that would close the restaurant at 10-11p and became a "bar" until about 1a.

I made more than a few of these; only instead of real ice cream, it was a scoop or two of what looked like "powdered milk mixed with powdered malt" in the blender with ice and the other goodies.

They were tasty enough, but I'm sure the Real Deal would have been better.
