Their demographics are terminal and they won't be the power they are today a decade from now. They're hopelessly top-heavy. I don't mean this in any way other than theoretically(demographically)and it's certainly NOT a prediction or hope, but the only possible way for China to continue as a market power would be for this virus to selectively 'take out' a billion elderly Chinese. That sounds terrible and of course it is, but it's also sadly true. Demographically there are few countries in the world in better shape than the US. S Korea is almost as bad as China. Brazil is pretty well placed as is strangely India. Mexico looks very good. North America overall is the place to be. China is toast no matter what happens.
